How to Break a Habit: Cue, Swap, Track
Most habits follow a loop: a cue, the habit, and a reward. Changing one is easier when you work with that loop.
Find the cue
For a week, note when the habit happens: time, place, feeling, people.
Plan a swap
Write if-then plans: "If I get home stressed, then I will walk around the block first."
Track gently
Tick the days that go to plan. Slips are information. Try the free tracker or the free 30-day printable.
Please note: Kind Streak trackers are self-help tools for noticing patterns and celebrating progress. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and we make no claims about results. If you use alcohol or other substances heavily every day, talk to a doctor before stopping — withdrawal can be dangerous. Free, confidential help.
